Office Depot executive arrested in DUI

BOCA RATON — The recently named chief financial officer of Office Depot was arrested late Saturday on a DUI charge. A Boca Raton police officer pulled over Stephen E. Hare, 60, after spotting his Audi going 57 mph in a 35 mph zone at 11:33 p.m. Hare struggled to complete a field sobriety test, and breath tests showed his blood alcohol content was 0.180 and 0.186, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08. DUI task force to crack down on drunken driving for Cinco de Mayo

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — Law enforcement officers in Marin County will be cracking down on drunken driving around the Cinco de Mayo holiday a week from Monday to stop impaired drivers, San Rafael police said Sunday. DA: Dublin man tried to blame Colma DUI on passenger

REDWOOD CITY — A Dublin man is accused of trying to blame a suspected DUI crash in Colma on his passenger, even going as far as forging a witness’s signature on a statement supporting the claim. Dane Eagle arrested for DUI

Tallahassee, FL – Rep. Dane Eagle, R-Cape Coral, was arrested Monday morning and charged with DUI by Tallahassee police, according to the Tallahassee police. Eagle, 30, was driving a black SUV at about 1:50 a.m. after leaving a Taco Bell on W. Tennessee Street. Arizona Court Overturns Marijuana DUI Ruling

PHOENIX (AP) — Authorities can’t prosecute Arizona motorists for driving under the influence of marijuana unless the person is impaired at the time of the stop, the state Supreme Court ruled Tuesday in the latest opinion on an issue that several states have grappled with across the nation. The ruling overturned a state Court of Appeals decision last year that upheld the right of authorities to prosecute pot smokers for DUI even when there is no evidence of impairment. Read More »

Repeat DUI driver gets 40-year sentence in fatal crash

Tulsa, OK – A Tulsa woman with a prior record for driving under the influence of alcohol was sentenced Monday to 40 years in prison for a “felony murder” conviction tied to a fatal traffic collision. In accordance with jury verdicts, a judge sentenced Marquita Littlebear to consecutive prison terms totaling 54 years, connected to a Feb. 12, 2012, crash that police categorized as a hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of Susan Mamary, a teacher at Marquette Catholic School. Palmdale girl killed after suspected DUI driver slams into apartment

PALMDALE, Calif. (KABC) —  A 16-year-old girl asleep in her bedroom was killed when a suspected drunk driver slammed his Nissan Pathfinder into her apartment complex in Palmdale early Sunday. Mom found asleep in car faces neglect, DUI charges

Nashville, TN – Police arrested a woman on Sunday after officers said they found her asleep in a broken-down car with her two young children. Officers where called to Cliff Drive in Nashville after the car ran out of gas. When they arrived, they found Andrea Sweeney asleep in the back seat, according to her arrest warrant.
