O.C. Woman Convicted in DUI Crash That Killed 3 Teens on Spring Break in Huntington Beach

A woman was found guilty Tuesday of murder in a drunken driving crash that left three Las Vegas teens dead last spring in Huntington Beach, officials said. A jury convicted 29-year-old Bani Duarte on three counts of murder and one count of driving under the influence with a sentencing enhancement for causing great bodily injury in the March 29, 2018, incident, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. Video shows school bus driver accused of DUI rambling, screaming at students

A video of a Washington school bus driver accused of driving “drunk” showed the woman screaming at students and telling them that she is “totally crazy.” The driver, Catherine Maccarone, 48, resigned from her job last week after being charged with driving under the influence and reckless endangerment in the Sept. 12 incident, authorities said. A bus driver in Washington is facing charges of driving under the influence and reckless endangerment after a young passenger called 911 to report that she was intoxicated. COLLEGE STATION, Texas — A Bryan teen is in jail after police said he was driving drunk, hit a woman with his vehicle and drove away without stopping to help. Pedro Puga, 17, is charged with intoxication assault, evading arrest and accident involving serious bodily injury. PHOENIX – A 10-year-old girl recorded video of her mother driving while intoxicated Saturday before calling the police, according to Maricopa County court documents. Stephanie Davis, 31, was arrested Sept. 7 at around 4:15 p.m. in Glendale on suspicion of aggravated DUI, records say. 71 people arrested for DUI over Labor Day Weekend

SAN DIEGO — Seventy-one people, the same as a year ago, were arrested in San Diego County on suspicion of driving under the influence from the start of the Labor Day holiday weekend at 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday, the California Highway Patrol reported. WASHINGTON — Washington City Councilman, Matthew Staniszewski, is being charged with his 4th DUI, according to police. The North Carolina State Highway Patrol says a Duplin County man faces felony charges after he allegedly hit and killed two pedestrians with his truck on Saturday. Illegal immigrant convicted in death of Jemison nurse

The saga surrounding the criminal case in the 2018 death of a Jemison woman is nearing its end. It took only about 50 minutes of deliberation for a jury to reach a guilty verdict in the case against 20-year-old Jorge Ruiz on July 24.
