Corrections officer facing DUI, child neglect charges
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. – A Treasure Coast correctional officer is accused of driving drunk with his two young kids in the car. Douglas Schultz was pulled over in Port St. Lucie on Monday after he yelled at a police officer from his car. An officer reports that the two children inside Schultz’s car appeared frightened. BOCA RATON — The recently named chief financial officer of Office Depot was arrested late Saturday on a DUI charge. A Boca Raton police officer pulled over Stephen E. Hare, 60, after spotting his Audi going 57 mph in a 35 mph zone at 11:33 p.m. Hare struggled to complete a field sobriety test, and breath tests showed his blood alcohol content was 0.180 and 0.186, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
