Cleveland woman charged with homicide after DUI crash kills motorcyclist

CLEVELAND – A motorcyclist died Monday evening when a car driven by a suspected drunk driver failed to yield while making a turn.

John Stoudermire, Jr., 52, of Cleveland, was driving his motorcycle east on Kinsman Road at around 8 p.m. when a car turning left from East 73rd failed to yield to traffic. The motorcycle crashed into the side of the car, killing Stoudermire.

Police say that the driver of the car, Shantina Reed, 25, was operating it under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested for aggravated vehicular homicide. Toxicology reports are still pending.
