Man dead, man arrested in alleged Reno DUI crash

RENO, Nev. (KOLO)– One man died early Sunday following a crash in Reno near Sun Valley and the driver was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving cause death, the Reno Police Department said.

19-year-old Kenneth Lee Homer III was also booked for speeding and driving without a license.

Police say the crash happened at Scottsdale Road and Bullwinkle Drive at about 2:30 a.m. September 9, 2018. The vehicle left the road and rolled. One man not wearing a seat belt was thrown and died at the scene, police say. His name has not been released. A second person sustained minor injuries and was released at the crash scene.

Homer was treated at a hospital for injuries described as not life-threatening and was booked into jail.
