Deputies: Collier County teacher arrested for DUI


Collier County Deputies arrested a teacher with Collier County schools for DUI on Friday night.

Deputies said they found April Jones drunk behind the wheel on Immokalee Road near Wildwood Boulevard.

According to the arrest report, deputies name Jones as a teacher in the Collier County School District.

Jones was going 68 in a 50 mile per hour zone, deputies said.

After pulling her over, deputies smelled a stench of alcohol in the car. In the back, they found her husband passed out with his pants down.

Jones claimed she picked him up from the casino and was on her way home, but deputies explained the story didn’t add up.
