Burlington Police Officer Leanne Werner was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence following a serious two-car crash Sunday evening, St. Albans Police Department said in a news release.
Acting Burlington Police Chief Jannine Wright said Werner was placed on administrative leave following the crash.
Werner’s blood-alcohol content according to a roadside test was 0.081 percent, St. Albans Chief Gary Taylor said Monday morning. Legally, a driver is considered impaired at 0.08 percent.
