Cinco de Mayo weekend DUI task force reports fewer arrests

Arizona law-enforcement agencies over the Cinco de Mayo weekend made fewer impaired-driving arrests but stopped more motorists than they did during the same period in 2013.

Police made 500 arrests on suspicion of driving under the influence out of more than 11,000 traffic stops from Thursday through Monday, according to the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.
