Sayreville man charged with DUI in Old Bridge deadly motorcycle wreck

OLD BRIDGE – A Sayreville man has been charged in a drunken driving crash that killed the passenger of his motorcycle.

Jack Piatek, 27, was arrested Saturday and charged with vehicular homicide by driving while under the influence of alcohol, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone said in a statement.

Jessica Vinsko, 36, of South Amboy died in the crash.

An investigation determined that at approximately 11:50 p.m. Thursday, Piatek was driving a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Route 35 north in the vicinity of Industrial Drive when he lost control and he and Vinsko were ejected from the bike, according to the statement.

Piatek was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital to be treated for his injuries, and Vinsko was pronounced deceased at the scene, the statement said.
