A suspected DUI driver lead a very slow-speed chase in the Palmdale area Friday afternoon before an hourslong standoff was taken into custody.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported deputies were following a suspected DUI driver in the Palmdale area around 3:30 p.m.
The car, with flat tires, was hobbling along at a slow speed, sometimes only accelerating to 2 mph.
The driver began traveling west along Pearblossom Highway, likely to the bemusement of commuters, at one point tossing white papers from the window.
