WOONSOCKET, R.I. — The suspect in a deadly crash in Woonsocket is being held without bail.
Johnny Sak, 23, has been charged with driving under the influence, death resulting, in the crash that claimed the life of 22-year-old Alexandra Patten.
The two shared a daughter, who was four months old.
“She was a good person (and was) always kind to everybody,” said Yannie Patten, Patten’s sister. “She did more for other people than herself.”
The crash happened around 1:40 a.m. Monday on Mendon Road in Woonsocket.
At the time, Sak was already wanted by Woonsocket police on outstanding warrants for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and driving without a license. Police said Sak’s license had expired and he should not have been driving.
