Update: Bond set for driver charged with DUI after fatal I-77 crash in Rock Hill

One woman was killed and another charged with DUI after a crash on Interstate 77 in Rock Hill on Thursday, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

Jeannine Valdes, 35, was charged with felony DUI resulting death, according to jail records. She was placed in the Moss Justice Center, and a judge set her bond at $75,000 Friday afternoon.

York County Coroner Sabrina Gast on Friday identified the person killed in the crash as 23-year-old Lacee Sullivan of Monroe, N.C. Sullivan would have turned 24 on Monday, according to a statement from Gast.

The crash happened about 7:30 p.m. Thursday on I-77, about four miles north of Rock Hill, according to Lance Cpl. Tony Keller of the Highway Patrol.

Valdes was traveling north on I-77 when she rear-ended another vehicle, Keller said. Both vehicles exited the right side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment, where the vehicle Valdes hit overturned.
