LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — A man is accused of driving under the influence, and Nebraska police say this is the seventh time he’s committed the crime.
Daemon Stubbs was arrested on Saturday, just after 1:30 a.m.
According to the Grand Island Police Department, he was going 42 mph in a 20 mph zone.
The arresting officer says they could smell alcohol coming off of Stubbs.
They also described him as having bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.
After stumbling around police say Stubbs eventually admitted to having too much to drink.
He then blew a .204 during his preliminary breath test, according to GIPD.
Records show Stubbs has six prior convictions for driving while impaired.
He also doesn’t have valid driver’s license privileges.
