URBANA — Prosecutors are reviewing criminal charges filed Tuesday against a Champaign man accused of drunk driving in the wake of the victim’s death.
Chad Berry, 31, of the 600 block of West White Street, was arrested Monday afternoon in connection with a collision with a motorcyclist at the intersection of White and State streets in Champaign.
Champaign police Lt. Robert Rea said Berry was driving west on White Street at 3:35 p.m. and either stopped for the stop sign at State and quickly accelerated through the intersection or did not stop completely.
