Nashville assistant DA suspended for DUI arrest

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – An assistant district attorney in Davidson County has been suspended for one month without pay after being arrested on DUI charges on last weekend. Update: Bond set for driver charged with DUI after fatal I-77 crash in Rock Hill

ROCK HILL One woman was killed and another charged with DUI after a crash on Interstate 77 in Rock Hill on Thursday, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol. Jeannine Valdes, 35, was charged with felony DUI resulting death, according to jail records. She was placed in the Moss Justice Center, and a judge set her bond at $75,000 Friday afternoon. OHP: I-44 Wrong Way Driver Arrested For DUI After Tulsa Crash

TULSA, Oklahoma – The Oklahoma Highway Patrol arrested a pickup driver involved in a wrong way head-on crash on Interstate 44 in west Tulsa early Monday. Troopers said the DUI crash happened just before 3 a.m. in the westbound lanes near West 55 Place. Ooley wasn’t at her arraignment in person, instead, her charges were read to her via video conference. Madera County District Attorney, David Linn, said, “It appeared that she was very confused.” Ooley is between six to eight months pregnant and the gravity of the situation is starting to sink in. NORTH HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A suspect died after a short chase ended in a crash in North Hollywood, police said. The chase began around 1:35 p.m. and ended less than three minutes later when the vehicle crashed into a big rig near Magnolia Boulevard and Satsuma Avenue, police said. Danville man charged with 6th DUI in crash in Urbana

URBANA — A Danville man with a history of drunken driving convictions has been charged again with driving under the influence stemming from his arrest last week in northeast Urbana. William E. Grimes, 55, who listed an address on Eastview in Danville, was charged Tuesday with aggravated driving under the influence, a Class X felony, following an April 15 crash on Brownfield Road that injured him and three others. Video of Rep. Tom Taylor’s DUI arrest released

Police dashcam video released Monday shows what happened at the time of state Rep. Tom Taylor’s DUI arrest. Taylor, a Dunwoody Republican, was clocked driving 72 mph in a 45 mph zone in Rabun County the afternoon of April 7. Illinois state trooper pleads guilty to DUI while on duty, prosecutors say

An Illinois State Police trooper who authorities said was intoxicated when he responded to a crash on Interstate 88 last year pleaded guilty Monday to driving under the influence, according to Kane County prosecutors. Trooper Paul Zurn, 34, agreed to a sentence of one year of court supervision in exchange for a guilty plea to misdemeanor DUI, according to a news release from the Kane County state’s attorney’s office.
