SUSPECT CHARGED WITH VEHICULAR HOMICIDE, DUI AFTER OFF-DUTY OFFICER KILLED IN NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) —

Vehicular homicide and DUI charges have been filed against a 59-year-old Philadelphia man who police say struck and killed an off-duty Philadelphia officer then fled the scene.

Louis Vogwill, 59, of the 6100 block of Loretto Street, is charged with Involuntary Manslaughter, Homicide by Vehicle, Homicide by Vehicle-DUI, DUI- Alcohol or Drugs, and related offenses.
